Happy Birthday Meow!

Ok, I am that cat owner. I will admit it. I like to celebrate birthday's, and well my cat is no exception! I think I get this from my mother.

First, I have to say, I am a slacker. Meow's birthday was on the 23rd, but I kept thinking the 27th. So, this post is late.

I cannot believe how big my little guy has gotten, or that he is a year old. I know, he is not a child. But he is family. So bear with me.

Here he is when we got him at 3 months old.

Here he is just a couple of weeks ago.

Revelation Song

We have sang this song at church the past few weeks, and I just love it. I love the image it leaves in my mind. I love the lyrics. I love the focus.

Here are the lyrics:
Worthy is the, Lamb who was slain
Holy, Holy, is He
Sing a new song, to him who sits on
Heaven's mercy seat
[2X]

Holy, Holy, Holy
Is the Lord God Almighty
Who was, and is, and is to come
With all creation I sing
Praise to the King of Kings
You are my everything
And I will adore You

Clothed in rainbows, of living color
Flashes of lightning, rolls of thunder
Blessing and honor, strength and glory and power be
to You the only wise King

Holy, Holy, Holy
Is the Lord God Almighty
Who was, and is, and is to come
With all creation I sing
Praise to the King of Kings
You are my everything
And I will adore You

Filled with wonder, awestruck wonder
At the mention of your name
Jesus your name is power
Breath, and living water
Such a marvelous mystery
Yeah...

Holy, Holy, Holy
Is the Lord God Almighty
Who was, and is, and is to come, yeah
With all creation I sing
Praise to the King of Kings
You are my everything
And I will adore You
[3X]

Breakfast at Tiffany's

A few weeks ago I was able to host a bridal shower for my friend Keri. She loves Audrey Hepburn and "Breakfast at Tiffany's" So, we went with that theme. We had a great time. All the girls wore black and lots of jewelry. We had the movie playing while we ate a breakfast of scones, mini quiche, fruit salad, pound cake and more. It was so much fun, and a great way to honor the bride!

Here are the invites I sent out

I made diamond ring cookies for favors for the girls that came

All packaged

She loves her Audrey...

Some of the jewels that were scattered around

Mmmm Scones...

The Bride!

Sing Sing Sing

The past several weeks our church has been going through a series called "why". It has been amazing. Why Baptism. Why Jesus. Why Sing. Why the Bible. We missed the "Why Sing" Sunday. I was very disappointed about that. Our Worship Pastor Aaron was the one teaching, and I couldn't wait to hear it. But, I got sick.

I mean, I love music. I love to sing. My heart connects with the Lord through music. It is such a powerful tool. So, after church on Sunday I had to get a copy of the sermon.

Wow. I really enjoyed what Aaron had to say. His perspective on worship and singing was refreshing. I was encouraged. It made my heart long to worship.

I would tell you more, but I don't think I can do the subject any justice in a short blog. So, if you click here, you can hear for yourself. Just go to the one by Aaron, called Why Sing.

Weight Watchers, Round 3

First I have to share this with you. My friend Joel posted from this site called Indexed. To be honest, some of the drawings are over my head, but others I think are great. Like this one:

It made me think of well, needing to lose weight. And how wonderful my husband is-and that he loves me love handles and all!

So, we did Weight Watchers before we got married and it was so great, and we were so successful. The second time around, not so much. So, we are cracking down and trying it again. At our first weigh in, I had lost 6 pounds...I was pretty excited. Today, I noticed my work pants I just got in December (which were a bit tight then) are too big now...almost to that they are so unflattering too big. Ryan today even told me that he has noticed. Even when I feel like I haven't been "good". He's also doing great, and I have noticed his weight loss. It has been good thus far. Let's just hope we can keep up the discipline.

I am not a very disciplined person. :)
